Crofoot Family Photo
We finally got a photo of the Crofoot family!
Actually we missed David because he went back to boarding school, so standing in for him is Ben. He is practically family. Below is Ben, his sister Amy, and Sarah Crofoot.
We are fast approaching the end of docking. We estimate about 2 .5 - 3 more days. Then we may still be around for the "docking shout" before heading to the South Island early next week. The "docking shout" is a big after party to celebrate the end of docking. We have heard stories to suggest it is a big time complete with some rather gross activities. We are told you must help pull the "mountain oysters" from the source with your teeth. Vicky refuses to participate and Steve is still thinking about it.
Today we got to sit in on a meeting to discuss the nitrogen trial the farm is participating in. It is really astounding how scientific farming is. There were many parties discussing how the trial is going about and the results so far. This includes representatives from various scientific bodies, the Wellington Regional board members, other farmers, and representatives from the fertilizer industry.
