Lake Wanaka

Driving from Haast Pass into the Wanaka area, you suddenly switch from rainforest and mountains to lake country. The water is amazingly blue and vast. There are two major lakes in the area: Lake Wanaka and Lake Hawea. Below are some of the first views we got of Wanaka…
